IMPORTANT NOTE:
I’ve used Vimeo for the videos below because the quality is superb, but if they won't play on your browser, just click here to view most of them on my YouTube channel. Unfortunately the 43-minute Sligo video is only viewable here, as its length exceeds YouTube's 10-minute limit.

Sarah McQuaid - Niel Gow's Lament for the Death of his Second Wife - Dunkeld, Oct 2008 from Sarah McQuaid on Vimeo.

'Niel Gow's Lament for the Death of his Second Wife' performed live at the Perthshire Amber Festival, Dunkeld, 28 October 2008. The six finalists of the first annual Niel Gow International Fiddle Composition Award performed their tunes for the assembled judges (Fiona Ritchie, Dougie MacLean, Martin Hadden, Freeland Barbour and Mike Ward - quite an intimidating group to have in the audience!) by way of interval act for the show, so I thought I'd better do a Niel Gow tune in honour of the occasion. Many thanks to Roy Flitcroft for the video.
