En route from Colebrooke to Manaton, we stopped for lunch at a very nice pub in North Bovey, where I couldn’t resist arranging my mussel shells in neat serried rows and Martin couldn’t resist taking a photo of Smurf reposing on top of them. Sad, isn’t it ....
Tonight’s gig was at Manaton Village Hall, near Newton Abbot. As always with these Villages In Action shows, the atmosphere was highly convivial, with dinner served in the hall before the concert ... and as our lovely hosts Jan and Michael live right in the village, we were able to join them for a drink in the pub afterwards – the first time that’s happened on this tour!
